The Eight Thirty Origin

Mike and Barry began their journey at Marriott just a week apart over 19 years ago, building careers and friendships along the way. When COVID-19 forced everyone home, they started a daily 8:30 AM call to stay connected with colleagues—offering support, laughter, and a sense of normalcy. That call has continued for over five years, becoming a symbol of camaraderie. When Marriott changed their business practices and underwent a major restructuring late in 2024, they saw an opportunity to turn that spirit of connection into something bigger. 830 Partners was born, named after the call that reminded them—and so many others—that no one has to go through challenges alone.
